I have heard this tune used by U2, the Doors, and a punk band playing at CBGB's (can't remember the name). It's the line where the the singer sings "Glooo-ria" and then spells it out. Who did it originally? Someone told me it's a Van Morrison song.

Laura Branigan is the only one I knew who sang Gloria in the 80's.
