I definately think all animals have a soul. I recently lost a pet and it helps me to think that he did. Animals are very sensitive to people and their feelings.

The spiritual spark in all living beings even in microbes and bacteria is called atman, or soul. Yes, animalshave surely a soul, they are also covered as we are, by two kinds of bodies, a subtle one, that consist of feeling thinking and willing, and a gross one that consists of 5 elements like ether, air, fire, water and earth.
The difference amongst animals or living beings is that their concioussness (the symptom of the soul) or ability to express concioussness is sometimes more and other times less shrunken. The soul in a humanbody has the privilege to fully develop his conciousness by spiritual practice, that animals can`t do. Human beings are given opportunity and enough dicrimination to ask questions and reflect on themselves thus they are bound by the laws of karma. Animals have no free choice, only instincts, so they do not get reactions on karma. Their are 4 800 000 species of life, 400 000 of them are humans. Others are animal s and plants which all have a soul. When the soul leaves the body it is called death, then one gets another body by the perfect arrangement of the supreme. In quality all souls are eternal, full of knowledge and full of divine bliss. Still each and every soul is an individual eternally. Covered by ignorance the soul misidentifies with different types of bodies, i am a dog, i am a cat, i am a woman, i am a man, i am fat, i am thin, but all those temporary designations are only called false ego.

Please therefore do not eat animals, they feel great pain and fear being slaughtered. Being vegetarian is proper for humans with human intelligence. Let the souls in the animal bodies experience what they have to experience, do not interrupt their lifes by killing them for your own sensegratification! This is murder!
Animals are concious that means they have a soul. They move, play, are happy or sad. Actually we should not say we have a soul but we are soul! Not the body.

The truth is in Psalm 50:9-12. God says all the animals are his.

How do you figure that? I cannot find any evidence in scripture for that, and no one that I know does either (my father is becoming a pastor). We can only hope that we will see our pets in heaven as a part of eternal happiness.
But we are here to glorify God, he needs no animals. I think animals have souls at about 30% chance, or at least souls that will go to heaven.

Yes! And I think it's ridiculous that some people think that heaven would not have animals, without them I wouldn't be happy.

Yes, absolutely. When it is my time to cross over, I fully expect to see my beloved pets and humans who have gone to heaven before me. I believe that we will all be in a beautiful spirit form and be able to communicate and continue to love each other.

If I and you have soul, animals also have. Even a virus or bacteria also suppose to have.

Absolutely! I have a beagle, and she is so intelligent and friendly! If I am typing on my computer, she sits on my lap and puts her paws on the keyboard!

So do I.
I have heard others say they don't think so and cite the Bible-- so I want to know what chapter and verse they get that from.
