Is the real point of the US military to conquer markets?
Is Bush the spokeman of big busines and since Israel is the biggest investor ............?
Is Iran on the hit list because it's got oil ?
Is Venezuala next because it's a huge market with some natural resources?
Is Europe eyed suspiciously by the US because they can't just "take them out" but they are emerging as a global economic power?

If Bush was no more than a spokesman for big bussines doesn't that make almost all of American foreign policy make sense?

Stability for markets is a good thing. It serves civilized people. Anything wrong with that?

Yes and no . If it's taken to an extreme and civilains die as a result of a hostile cooperate take over then yes there is a lot wrong with it. If the military is used to make sure water and food are flowing to it's people then no ,but I get the impression it's about billion dollar profits not survival and who gets the water rights for the town grist mill

General Smedly Butler - 2 time winner of the Medal of Honor stated....
"I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902–1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested."

No. Fundamentally, every nation is a corporation who uses their military when diplomacy fails. The military's point is to ensure stability for markets and democracy (which itself adds stability). Bush is spokesman for big biz but Exxon, GE, GM etc are the biggest investors. Iran on hit list b/c he challenges American commercial interests....ditto Venezuela. Europe is irrelevant.
