Tourette's syndrome is a chronic neurological disorder of unknown cause but it is inherited (genetic). The symptoms appear before the age of 18, however, most show symptoms between the ages of 7 and 10. If it isn't in your family, you have nothing to worry about.

Don't worry about it. Yes, people are born with it. Besides, it's not the WORST thing in the world! There is much more about people than their physical makeup.

Get this Emmy winning HBO documentary if you can. If you can't get it from the web site I listed here, ask your school library to get it for you. It's called "I have Tourettes, but Tourettes doesn't Have Me". It's a fantastic way to explain all about Tourettes. It features kids about your age, maybe a little younger.

Eh, you would've shown symptoms by now. Besides you can only "get" TS if it runs in your family.

And, as Juliart said, it's not so bad! It doesn't affect your general health or life expectancy one bit. And to me, that is infinitely better than having a physical ailment or illness.
