The penalty for not wearing your helmet is a mandatory 12 months in prison. It could almost certainly be proven that helmets save lives. Probably many many more than seat belts. Also, what is your position on seat belt laws? Do you think it's okay for the government to babysit you? You do know the government in the USA treats us like children right?
If you like this question, plz answer my other questions. I will appreciate any answers, wether I agree with them or not. Thanks.

Apparently some people have don't understand my question. I am not refering to wearing a seat belt when riding motorcycles or other vehicles. I am talking about wearing one at "ALL TIMES" no matter what you are doing.

I would probably wear the helmet. 12 month is a long time, but I'd vote for people that want to overturn, which in that case would be many. As for seatbelt laws, they are over the line. I don't think the government should protect me from myself. On the other hand, I understand where the activists who lobbied for this law are coming from. If only there were a law so & so would be alive.....

dont you care about your life? There is a reason why we have to wear helmets on motorcycles and seat belts in cars, WE WANT TO LIVE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its not because you are not a safe driver its the other drivers you need to worry about.

it depends.... are you thinking 24/7 or like while you're on a bike?
I always wear a seat belt.... unless I don't, which isn't that often and it's always when I'm in the back seat where you're allowed to not wear it.

helmets save lives,,, seat belts save lives,,, if you don't care about your own,,, how about your family,,,, read the statistics,,, as a former instructor for the NC National Safety Council,,, DE and Defensive Driving,,,, it is a good law to wear helmets while riding bikes, skateboards,, etc.. and seat belts are essential to continue to save lives on our nations highways,,, thanks
