i dont have any favorites.
but i do enjoy:

I've read somewhere that english linguists have decided that the word "syphilis" is the most beautiful SOUNDING word in the english language. definitely not the best meaning!

That is a very interestion question about words and meanings.
I don't think that the meaning of a word is as important as the effect of the sound waves on your senses.
We are all effected, by the colors we see and the sounds we hear. Both have an effect upon our feelings of well being.
My favorite word is: "marone" When I am giving up on trying to explain something to someone. It is an Italian word, that means about the same as Moron, But it is relaxing after a strained conversation to end it.

My favorite word is synophrys, which is the condition of the eyebrows growing together in the middle.

"Supercalifragilistic expialidocious". Just because it's the longest word I can spell.
Believe it or not, I had to split it into two words just so it would display properly on this page, instead of cutting off the end with ...! What's up with that, Yahoo?
