the right term for that i think is when a plane comes over a feild, that is planted with veggies, are some other source of vegetation and release a spray over, it dusting it with wet fertilizer, are a dry powdering fertilizer, are u can manually dust a crop bye hand are usin a tractor ,of some sort wit sprayers on it to release wet fertilizer, are dry, also crop dusting can also mean usin a wet a re dry weed killer, are bug killer, the reason i know this my uncle have a huge farm and crop dust three times per year.. hope that helped..

distributes pesticide so the fresh vegetables you buy in the grocery store don't have bug bites
this is why you should wash your stuff really, really well....we don't want to eat pesticides.
it also inspired a Joan Mitchell song, that The Counting Crowes re-made called "Big Yellow Taxi"
