You're right!! logic and rationality will always find fault with the bible. The simple answer is that we're 'wired' to accept religion in general, and the bible in particular.
I read about some interesting studies by scientists of the temporal lobe regions that are 'mis-firing' or giving off 'unbalanced' neuroligical signals. Some of the studies are intrigueing, they can duplicate 'religious experiences' in blind tests of humans.
It was already known that the more primitive limbic system of our brains contain the raw emotion where our religious beliefs spring forth. The development of the cerebral cortex (or the thinking and rational part of the brain) is only a recent development in humans, say the last 40,000-100,000 years.
It is also well known that the 'god-gene' (for lack of a better description) is triggered during times of duress, high anxiety, near death or starvation, and other high emotional episodes. It was our survival instinct that developed this so-called god-gene. Now, scientists can atificially trigger that response under laboratory conditions by narrowing the focus to the temporal regions of the brain. Further studies are being conducted to study this gene and its effect on our development as a species.

There are good things in the collection of books that you refer to as Bible.
I do not know which version you mean, but the original suffered corruptions since 325 A.C.E. The collections of Books called the "Old Testament," was corrputed before the time of Jesus.
The crucifixion has always been under scrutiny. Caiphas, Joseph or Arimethia, Pilot, and Thomas all knew it to be unusual fo a man to hang on a cross for only a few hours and dei so soon.
Remember that many of the Gnostic Gospel were not recognized by vote at the Nicene Council. Much of what Christians believe was established by men as a matter of vote or edict.

This is an unanswerable question. Matters of religion are not based upon rational logic.
There is no doubt that Jesus of Nazareth existed. Everything else is open to debate and interpretation. People of faith will not easily abandon their views. There is no way to empirically demonstrate the validity of the traditional gospels over the Gnostic Gospels or vice versa.
I expect that Christianity will remain a strong religion for well over another millenia, but so will Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism. It will take more than a few scripture passages and archaeological digs to kill off a major world religion.

Never. While there may be lots of people who believe that everything in Bible should be followed strictly, the whole point of Christianity (in the broadest sense) is not just about the accuracy of the facts. Most importantly, this belief is firmly based on faith which, in the words of St. Paul, is the 'basis' and the 'evidence' of everything unseen. Together with hope and love, Christian values are part of our common humanity.

There rather isn't a typical time. My husband and that i dated for 4 months before his suggestion, yet we had generic one yet another for 7 or 8 years already. a number of my associates dated for a 12 months or extra. It purely relies upon on the couple.

Bottom line. There is a God and it was He who created the universe and all that is in it and it was He who set the rules about our obedience to Him. And because of man's original sin of disobedience, we are a corrupted creation, even from birth and because He is a just and Holy God , sin cannot even dwell in His presence. Because of our sin, we are spiritually dead, or eternally separated from Him. On judgement day, we will all stand before Him and all who have not repented of their sins and taken advantage of Christ's sacrificial death on the cross to pay for their sins (breaking His commandments), will be consigned to everlasting hell. Be advised, judgement day WILL happen, whether you believe in God and His word or not! Do yourselves a favor and read the Bible itself and maybe the Case for Christ and the Case for Faith by Lee Strobel. This man began as an investigative reporter who , I guarantee, has done a more in depth and scholarly research into these matters than any of you. You don't have to take any man's word for it. Seek out God and see what answers He gives you directly, not what His critics say.
You owe it to yourselves to find out for sure, because it's that important! God bless you all.

There is no expiration date found in the Holy Bible. Regardless what the critics and self-proclaimed educated philosophers claim in their writings to sell to the masses, the precepts and commandments of God and His Son are still viable today.

I am not a beleiver but I will never underestimate the power of religion. People will always believe in the outrageous!
