Depends on the motor, transmission, and general weight you're hauling.

A 325 or a 400 with a standard 10 speed and pulling 40 thousand, with all the filters in good shape should get 5.5 - 7 mpg. A little more for west coast running, a little less for mountains and east.

Class 8 trucks? Depending on the load 5 to 8 mpg usually, I asked Dad he's a trucker.
