My iguana loves to swim but outgrew his pool. Now, all we have is our pool, and i was wondering if he could swim in it? If he dosent drink it, or get it in his eyes is he o.k.? Or what if i rinse him off with fresh water after after?

Not a good idea fior if sensitive to chemicals then you have a problem also pool water is deep on one end and the water is colder-if he gets too cold then he will not have the energy to come to the top and will drown-use the bathtub but run the water first before you bring him to the tub for sometimes running the water will scare him. Look up is it safe to put iguana in bathtub and you can read all about it. Whenever you are not sure about if its safe for your pet-the people on line, including me are not experts so the best thing is to call a vet that specializes in exotic pets and they will tell you the right answer for only pets have the correct answer.Go to www.reptilerescueca.org and it tells you all about the how to swim your iguana safely.

Ive had iguanas for years. They love to swim in the pool. There has never been anything wrong with mine.

I would say no with the chlorine, but if you have a salt water conditioner pool then he would be fine

DO NOT PUT HIM IN YOUR POOL. USE YOUR BATH TUB. THE CHEMICALS WILL KILL HIM. YOU CANNOT ASSURE THAT HE WILL NOT DIGEST ANY OF THE WATER SO IF HE DID DRINK IT HE WOULD START WITH LIVER TROUBLES, ITS NOT WORTH IT, BUY A SMALL HARD PLASTIC POOL AND USE THAT. MY IGGY IS 4 1/2 FT LONG AND LOVES HIS TUB AND BABY POOL

well im guessing theres chlorine in your pool. dont let him swim in it. chlorine is bad for him. what you should do is build a seperate pond with a filter with no chemicals and let him go in that
