I can't remember the old saying, but basically through loss, suffering, etc, you gain knowledge and wisdom to help you grow, use for next time and pass on to others.

i visit actual say, that I easily were shaped thoroughly through my sufferings and hardships. No, enable me replace that slightly, God has shaped me through sufferings and hardships. I conflict through from a persistent ailment that causes discomfort 24/7- for all yet eleven years of my 40 9. it would want to all precise have ruined my existence, even with the undeniable fact that through the grace of God, He has taught me many stuff. And the single which i visit percentage now's this- i'd not be an same individual i'm at present if i became no longer battling this discomfort. What I mean is , i don't have a closeness that I easily have with the residing God, and that i'd not be able to journey His grace, and His love and be able to achieve out to others in discomfort. Granted, there are days, I proceed to wish that he will heal me, even with the undeniable fact that without the discomfort, i do no longer imagine i might want for use of God as a lot- and that is the marvelous want of my existence. EDIT- you factors me each and each of the thumbs down that you want, as a results of the undeniable fact that does no longer replace the very actuality of how God is utilising my discomfort- yet i do not comprehend basically because you do not believe what i think, you would possibly want to easily supply me a thumbs down. i became no longer rude became I?

I guess the main positives from the suffering I've had in life is the lessons I learned from it that made me a better person. If the suffering was caused by the consequences of a decision I made then I learn something about making better choices.
Sometimes something bad happens to you that you can't trace back to yourself....like a storm blowing a tree down on the roof of your house or something like that. I think in that case you learn about yourself and that you can get through the hard times. I know though you can't usually see anything positive from it at the time :/.
I hope this helps.

I've learned not to spend money on things I don't really need.
Suffering, or age and experience, can teach you to be much more compassionate than you might have been previously.
For example, when I met someone on kidney dialysis, I realized that I have a "great body" because all my internal organs work, despite the fact I don't look good in a bathing suit
(no offense to dialysis patients; it's just an example)
Even if you experience suffering, you can still be happy later. I think that you learn to appreciate little things more as you get older. For example, now that I'm an adult, I really like to see the leaves change colors in the fall. I didn't get as much pleasure from it when I was a teen.
In other words, getting older can be a great, happy experience, despite occasional setbacks.

When my daughter died, I found out just how much I could trust the Lord. Others had relationships that healed as people came together.

I answer by use of a quote.
"Men & women routinely destroy themselves committing senseless faux pas in their lives. With luck, I might salvage my own soul reading the quotes they have left in the wake of their own shattered lives and set a different course."

My divorce was devastating... I had to be treated for depression and my road to recovery was pure hell. Yet, I have met a wonderful woman and our relationship is strong... a BIG positive for me.
