I've always wondered that myself. It's usually the fattest girl in any group who's wearing the most revealing clothes. Maybe they think if they can't cover it up, then flaunt it.
Not a good idea, though.

Because main stream media and advertising makes it hard for plus size women to be appealing. Every commercial is showing some skinny woman, who has never been over 100lbs in her whole life talk about weight lose or wearing some tight provocative outfit with tons of men in aw. However, times are changing and the skinny women are no longer as appealing as before. Especially, since the urban culture phenomenon has hit main stream and now appeals to curvaceous women. I personally love a woman with curves vs skinny women.

It is a number of things, either they don't like shopping at plus size stores because it's embarresing or they r just too fat for clothes they wore 10 years ago but still insist on wearing them.

It's because they can't find cute clothes in their own sizes. So a lot of overweight girls buy XL or L clothes from the juniors department.
There aren't a lot of stores that cater to young/teenage girls who are over a certain size.

Either they are not doing it by choice because EVERYTHING is small and too tight or they are in denial about having a weight issue and wear clothes that are too small thinking (..and hoping that they fit) and last maybe it's just that they actually think they look good like that.

As a fat girl, I wonder the same this. At least I have my fat under control. I also notice that girls that are just a little overweight don't dress appropriately and make themselves look like full-fledged hephers. (however you spell it)

You know I have often wondered the same thing,,,,,, I don't have a clue,, I am not a large person, so can't even think of a good reason. I don't enjoy seeing all the rolls,,, I would want to cover mine, if I had any.

Because they feel embaressed to buy plus sizes. It also makes them feel pretty to know they can fit into tight clothing at all. Besides some men can appreciate big women. 'More to love' in some sence. xD
