In 1992 India was expanding in population to 29,000 people a year, but was losing popluation per (on average) to about 27,000 people per year, which belittled the poplulation to about 2,000 people in growth per crone year (Indian half year). However, currently (since May 2006) India is expanding to 34,000 people and a death rate (by both natural and un-natural causes) of merely 30,000 which literally doubles the poplulation to 4,000 people per year. lmao, people need to "relax" over there if you atch my drift. Actually the answer is having so wide range of time span 1992-2006, this covers two censuses of India, 1991 & 2001, with 2011 still to come. So the thing cannot be given in a single figure. After a long search , I have found out these two pages. The detailed study will show u the answer:
