SN, i don't know if we have to live with that nightmare all our lives.. But this is a little phrase of one BOB MARLEY's song named WAR:
"Until the basic Human Rights are equaly guaranteed to all
without regard to race ... there is a war...
And until the color of a man skin is of no more signifficant than
the color of his eyes ... there is a war..."...
"And until that day, the dream of lasting peace ...
world citizenship, the rules of international moralities..
will remaining but a fleeting ilussion, to be persuade.. but never attend.. Now everywhere is war .. War in the east, War in the WEst, War Up-north, War Down-South... rumours of a War... "

yes .... terrorism is a created concept in the minds of the population .... the nazis used the idea when they came to power and so the same methods are being used in modern times .... terrorism is not really a threat to the existance of this country or any other at worst its a nuisance .... the real threat you should be "terrified" of is nuclear anniahalation by China ... but they barely mention that in the news ....why is that? why do they want to keep everyones minds focused on this "phantom" of evil terrorists running around the world? especially when there is a concrete threat of nuclear war .... and i might add that the US has been directly threatened by China several times that they WOULD use nukes against us if we interfere with them militarily at al .... including taiwan. So if you buy into the whole "im scared of terrorists" thing, congratulations on supporting the very ones that instigated the idea to further there own political goals ... the govts.

We can't end terrorism by becoming terrorists ourselves. Destroying innocent civilians in Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, Lebanon, etc., will not stop terrorism. Even if we are victorious, and eliminate Al Qaeda and Hezbollah and every other "terrorist" organization in the world, we will still be standing, with as much blood on our hands as any of those.

The only thing that will bring about the end of terrorism is the end of the world. as long there is civilization there will be someone or group trying to impose their will by terror or strength of force

Short-term solution:
1. Abolish human rights.
2. Abolish privacy
3. Begin assive retaliation, severing of limbs of terrorists until they all look like Abu Hamza ( http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2092-1687681,00.html )
or: wait a while.
Terrorism has its times and places. Invariably, when it doesn't work, it fades away.

No..
There does not appear to be any solution expect WW3..
There was not solution to Nazi Faschism even though
liberaly tried & tried to negotiate with & appease Hitler...
The same appears to be the case with the Islamofaschists...
Liberals are trying to negotiate & appease the Muslim leaders
but it does not appear that it is going to work..
WW3 will be a war between Western Judeo/Christian civilization
and the Barbarian Islamofaschist fanatics...

how do you eradicate terrorism when it exists almost in each house?
It's all in definition.
terrorising servants, maids or for that matter anyone whom you could for getting those cheap thrills or cheap monetary frills.
And mind you, all those freedom fighters were also labelled terrorists before independence was gained.
so rewriting history can also help take off the label of terrorism.
