Just remember that bettas are betta, and not people. Male betta like living alone. Best case in mixing males and female betta. They mate, and produce hundreds of offspring. More likely one or both will die of injuries. Even if they mate the male will attempt to drive off the female after mating. (He defends the bubble nest against everyone.) Mating is often pretty rough as it's all tied into normal betta aggression.
Generally this only works in large tanks with plenty of cover with bettas who were raised together. Females can be aggressive as males, but generally you can keep them about 1 per 5-10 gallons. Note that the 1st week in a new all girls tank is a bit rough as they will fight to establish a pecking order. Once this happens they generally get along with a little posturing and chasing. Unless you add or remove a betta. (Which generally results in a violent reordering of the pecking order.)

Yes-how do you think they could make more Betta's if you couldn't. But since territorial do not put 2 males together for will fight for territory and the stronger will kill the weaker since in a tank it can't get away. You can also put 2 female Betta in the same tank-but make sure not a small cramped tank.

Only if you are going to mate them if you wanna keep ales and females together you need to have more females about 3 or 4 other wise she will die of stress from the constant hounding from the male however i wouldn't even keep bettas together then cos i have always found they still fight tho i guess it depends on the betta never ever keep males together tho

adult males should not be housed with women except spawning. suited conditioned pairs, which skill the two the female and male are arranged to spawn, are further jointly only for as long because it takes to spawn. as we communicate after the female is bumped off. the female died when you consider which you probably did no longer learn betta breeding. you are able to no longer purely drop a woman in and desire for the best.If the female isn't waiting the male will harass her and as you have seen it may carry approximately the ladies dying. purely as a results of fact a male builds a nest does not advise which you will desire to purchase a woman, and unquestionably it relatively is for the best which you do no longer. in case you be able to get them to spawn effectively then you rather would desire to preserve one hundred-500 fry. the colour is beside the point to the male.

Only if they are mating. I have a male an I read up on it before I purchased it, they are very aggressive and like to be alone, but the females love to be put together.

I mean... You CAN do a lot of things. I personally see nothing wrong with putting them both in the same tank, but then again I have a funny sense of humor. If you like both of your fishes, don't do it.

Don't you hate it when people answer who have no idea.
Yes you can. However if you have other fish it will make the male more agressive to them and if she produces eggs you will have to separate them because he will get aggressive to her, too. As it's the male who broods the eggs in a bubble nest he produces

you can if you want to but as a warning they will breed and when they do youll have to move the eggs to another tank cause the will eat them. and the adults will probably kill eachother.
