One that never reached the top but stayed in the top 10 for a very long time.

Number one hits aren't always remembered, unless they were either memorable or they stayed there for a long time. In the UK, Robbie Williams' "Angels" stayed in the top 10 for a number of months, but it never got into the top three. People are going to remember that more than the number one "Rock DJ".

The one that stayed in the top ten for a long time. Because a lot of the time crappy songs reach the number one spot, but quickly vanish as people get tired of listening to it. If a song makes it in the top ten for a long time, it must be good since a large part of the country is still listening to it.

Uhm, it depends i guess.
One hit wonders that stick in people's heads usually stay up at the top for a little while, then plumet down.
But the songs that always play on the radio that eveyone sings to usually hits the top (maybe once or twice) and then stagnates up there for a while, then plumets.

So it's hard to say, but i'd say the song that was staying up in the top 10 for a bit would be a better song and hit.

Hope i answered your question correctly!
Have a great day!

I think the one that stayed in the top 10 for a very long time. Even though it didn't make top spot, it was still awesome enough to stay in longer.

The one that never made it to the top. I say this because the one that was #1 for three weeks or whatever, when I hear it again, I just want to shut the radio off. But that one that never made it to the top, I can listen to it over and over again.

That time difference is the difference between a fad and a classic!

I hope this helps!
