Hi fallen angel, where did you put your wings. I'm not totally 100% sure, but I do agree with you.

It has to do with the definition of intelligence and how the IQ is measured. They measure only certain capabilities which target to mathematical understanding, visual stuff and text...cognitive capabilities.
But they do not measure what is now called the EQ and expresses the social capabilities and creativity.
So a really very intelligent person will most likely not appear crazy at all. But "real inteligence" can not be measured by IQ alone. Or someone with a high IQ but no EQ will appear crazy.
I know a few people which belong into the "genius" category and they are not a little bit crazy, just plain fun folks to have fun with.
And - what makes you think that Einstein was "crazy"? I believe the opposite. He was an all around very smart man - after the stories I heard about him.

It's all the crazy ideas that come out. Find me this idea of normality, please! Just point me towards it, I'll take it from there. The humour too, that really puts a lot of folks off, they don't get it. It can be a little lonesome and that makes you feel outside of things that everyone else is into; they can feel it too. Like these T.V. shows that are so popular, I can't get into it; takes to long to draw to it's obvious conclusion. I've been told I'm crazy for that! "Man she's beautiful!" someone told me about a survival show, I replied "Sure she is, and she's five thousand miles away, in a film clip that's at least six months old." Well then, I'm the crazy one! I'm not familiar with Old Albert being considered crazy though, maybe crazy about blonds but no running naked screaming about snakes in His hair or something a little more definitive. Normality, I'd like to take a holiday there sometime. I wouldn't want to live there though.

It also depends on the area there iq is in. Most high IQ people also lack in common sense.
International High IQ Society: Free IQ Tests
Offers five IQ tests, each measuring a different type of intelligence. Test just your verbal or cultural IQ, or, if you think you're really smart, try the Test for Exceptional Intelligence, which measures IQ scores up to 180.

I don't think it has to do with being trapped in an idea of normality? There have always been ppl who are genius in one area of their life and inept in other areas.

crazy? definately. but is that a bad thing? certainly not. without people thinking "outside of the box" we'd still be little more than monkeys swinging from trees throwing poop. now instead, we have bags to put the poop in and set it on fire on others front porches. see?? we are much better off with geniuses (crazy people).

People with high IQ's are for the most part "normal" .Maybe we fear their superior intelligence.I have met some who are sadly lacking in what we call "common sense".
