George Allen.

I also heard this on NPR (I think it was NPR, I can't remember now). They were talking about how he is the most likely contender.
It still depends on who the Republicans select. If you remember, many people thought Dean was going to be the Democratic candidate for 2004. But the Dem voters selected Kerry instead.

I love to hear you guys... vote republican this and democrats do it better that...
open your eyes people... they are ALL crooks....
WAKE UP!!!!
The issue that should be on our agendas is "The Elite"... the 10% of our nation that has 80% of the wealth... they keep us down by separating us with the "party wars" I say we should find a way to UNITE as lower class & middle class America and say that enough is enough... It's an issue of the HAVES and the HAVE NOTS... of the people by the people for the people???? It should be changed to of the rich by the rich for the rich. The stench of old money in this country has been in the air for far too long...

or we could just be complacent, shrug our shoulders and say "That's the way it's always been and that's the way it's gonna be... That's the way it's gonna STAY because we somehow feel that these "ELITE" deserve to be where they are... Why would they raise the minimum wage when the never have felt the crunch come paying the bills time? It doesn't effect any our THEIR loved ones... Why make OPEC sell their product at a fair price when they are benefiting from gas price hikes?
I could go on but I can sense most of you saying STFU fool... I'll leave you with this

"Every Official that comes in,
cripples us, leaves us maimed,
silent and tamed
and with our flesh and bones he builds his homes!!!"

I'm betting McCain. He's middle of the road enough to appeal to Dems on some issues, but still caters to right wingers on things like the Iraq war. I bet he softens any polemic stance sufficient to garner broad support before the elections. If a controversial Democratic candidate such as Hillary Clinton wins the nomination, a moderate Republican has a good chance of taking the Presidency.

Herr Hitler....Chairmen Mao as VP
Or maybe Jimmy Swagger and Jerry Foulball
Any one of the SNAKES on a Plane
Condaslleasa Lice...by herself, being that she is the only Token, Black, Lesbian, Republican. Her manager could push her ugly face in dough and make gorilla cookies to hand out. With that giant gap in the teeth, she could be the official GOP Can
Opener. Running mate?...Chaney's daughter.

Jeb Bush or M. Romney (Mass Gov). Both have baggage -- Jeb Bush -- is the world ready for ANOTHER Bush? Romney is a Mormon -- can he get support in the south.

Front runner now is John McCain, but he has trouble getting support from the base, as he is more of a moderate. He will have problems getting the nomination, but could be a formidable canditate in the general election (except for the fact that a Governor has won every presidential election since 1968, and McCain is a senator). McCain is a war hero, appears to have principals, appears to be in favor of electoral reform (McCain Feingold campaign reform law).

Again, we probably will not know, as early front-runners often fade as the elections near.

John Mc Cain

Since he was a P.O.W.
I think his military background
is viewed as more credible.
Also his political views aren't
quite as extreme as certain
die-hard Republicans. He seems
to be more concerned with actually
getting things accomplished, even
if it requires bi-partisan compromising.

Choosing a V. P. that can help him
win New York (Rudy Giuliani ??)
might be the Republicans' best shot
to compete against a Kerry ? / Clinton ticket.

John McCain has the most appeal and won't infuriate the monied Evangelical Christian donors (even though, in their hearts, they'd rather see somebody like Bill Frist get the nomination).

I'm hoping Condy Rice. She is extremely intelligent, has political savvy beyond comprehension (remember? She has PhD in Political Science.) She is focused and from all that I have heard, she has no political "agenda". I think she would be a very effective president and a powerful leader.

The Republicans is currently in control of all Houses--White House, House of Rep, Senate and Court House. They are still blaming their mess up on the Democrats.

Americans want the Democrats back in control of Congress and the White House.
