Is there anyone who has had a tear in the placenta? I had one major bleeding episode and over the last 3 weeks and I have started to bleed 3 different times. The last three times the blood was not bright red it was more on the brown side. I know that is usually a sign of old blood but could it last for a period of three weeks? Yes I have been to the doctor and I am on complete bed rest. I would really only prefer people who have been through this situation to answer!! Thank you!!

I had a small blood clot dettach from my placenta at 15/16 weeks. I only bled for a day, and even then, not so much.
Some women bleed throughout their entire pregnancies and everything is okay at the end.

Ask the doctor if it could last for a period of 3 weeks. I do not think it is normal for it to last that long.
