It does not appear to be amount of freon according to the guages.

It quits when reving above 3k rpm.
at steady speed 2-2,5k blows real cold. but it is so noticeable when shifting thorugh the gears.....

well sounds like a couple of things, yes the system could be low because what happens is the low side gets to low and shuts the system off or its normal for a ac system to shut off at a certain throttle position to release the compressor clutch so you dont lose power. your problem is most likely low

it will do that. the compressor is a heavy load and designed to kick off when you need extra power for passing, merging, running from the cops (lol, teasing) but it should stay engaged if you gently raise engine rpms. well unless the interior is at temp and it just cycles from coincidence. which it will do once it senses blower temp. around 38 to 40. if it does cycle then may be low on freon. there is a site glass that should be clear with system on. if it's cloudy then ya need some freon and maybe leak detection to keep the freon in . best of luck...

Is it only when you rev it up, or is it cycling on and off all the time? If all the time, you are probably low on R12 or R22 depending on which system you have. If it is only when you rev it up, it's designed to do that so you can get more power to the drive train. Not all cars do it, but some do, when the vacuum is reduced to a certain point indicating a heavy foot on the pedal, the A/C cuts off.

Some units are designed to cut out when the engine revs or is worked hard. A/C uses a fair amount of engine power. You can add cut out switches to alternators to save fuel, increase power when engine is worked hard.
