with someone and not be able to express it in words? I open up to my lady.. Share my inner most thoughts, feelings and otherwise. Well to me it comes easy. She on the otherhand cannot. She may show me with cards, or I love you. But to express things in her own words just doesnt come. She says to give her time she will come around but its frustrating..Just makes me feel she doesnt love me. I love her dearly... Any opinons?

I have been married for 7 years,I am 30. My husband is the same way. I can share and, show my feelings. For him, it is very hard. So since we have been together. I love showing him, in new ways, that I love him. So, when you want to feel loved,or the center of her world. The more you open up to her. By making her feel like the center of your world!!! The more relaxed, safe, and trusting in you to open up, as well. Find out if she has been hurt before, when she did open up to someone. She may be scared to open up again!!!!

Give her time--- I'm in the most loving relationship ever.....we fell in love so easily but because of past relationships and hurt it was hard for either of us to express how we feel in out own words....I was the first and he held back just like your lady....in time he opened up and now the feeling is wonderful when I hear my man tell me how much he cares....just continue to love her as you do...she has a good man and will be able to give you her soul through her words someday.

There are a myriad of reasons. One is to look at her background. There may be something that prevents her from being verbally expressive.

She may be apprehensive or afraid of commitment.

Have you a long time relationship? Are each giving and receiving in other ways?

Sometimes non-verbal is better.

I'm like that with my husband, with whom I really, truly am in love. But I was raised to seldom voice my emotions because to do so only brought embarrassment to me and my family. Being stoic and almost inhuman was praised in my family. I am continuing to learn how to express my emotions and to accept them as they are. I had to go through several years of therapy, however, before I learned to be comfortable doing so. I suggest couples' therapy; also, do as she says and give her time. Her unease may stem from her childhood or past experiences.

I guess it is possible. But if both r truly in love, then you would think it would be easy to express oneself. I would think one would shed their inhibitions when they r in love and do things that they may not normally do
