If I being honest I’ll totally agree with itty on the answers…if you have a picture people can just relate to you more…its almost as they get to see more of who you are…so I rather have a picture then a avatar although I’m a pretty private sorta person..:D

I think people who put their picture online want a little more attention, than those who choose to remain anonymous. When you're looking at all these little cartoon faces, of course a real picture will stand out. I think putting your picture online CAN cause unwanted attention, especially if you're nice looking. Yes, you can turn off the contact option, but that doesn't stop people from making comments. But they're usually good comments. Just ask kojak...lol

No...not really. Every once in a while I'll get a message from someone saying that they think I look nice and that's very flattering. I always just ignore them though because I have a boyfriend and I'm not into creating problems over nothing. So...no, not really....it doesn't invite unwanted attention.

The unwanted attention depends on how attractive or provocative your picture is. Some people who put fake pictures get attention just because it looks attractive.

But if you wanted to, it couldn't hurt. Just make sure that you keep it clean so no one would give you unwanted attention (especially from the creepy weirdos!)

if you have noticed, the sexy females photos that pop up here every once in a while always gets more answers regardless of the questions "she" may post..even if you put up your real pic, most people will still believe its not you.. i mean, there are probably men here using female avatars and vice verse..

when i posted that "thank you to women" a bunch of women though that i was a woman..lol

Suppose it could but you can turn off the ability for people to contact you, I have people give me comments all the time, I mean what's wrong with looking like a paperbag?

I would not think so but think of all the millions of people who can see it so do not be surprised if you get some comments may be harsh some may be nice. Try it and see you can always remove the pic.

If you are attractive it does, or if the picture clearly shows your prominant cleavage, that too attracts attention. GO for it.
