i was expecting my periods on 18th august but i missed it. but i feel as if i will get my periods any moment.

It is not uncommon for women to be late for their period--it just means ovulation was delayed that cycle. If you had unprotected sex then pregnancy is a possibility. A test would be accurate by now so take one to put your mind at ease.

but wait a couple days, then get a test. you may be late from stress. or go get a blood test from your doctor.
