Armadillos are normally wild animals, so they might be aggressive and sort of shy. Were you planning on catching one or buying one from an exotic pet store? They'll have different personalities if they were bred in captivity or raised in the wild. I assume they will be like hedgehogs, which aren't very social creatures, but they look pretty cool in the house. If you have kids, it's probably not a good idea

Also, armadillos would probably not make an ideal pet for most people to begin with. They are nocturnal, and would be sleeping when you are awake. At night, they will wake up and forage. Armadillos also have a musky smell that some people feel is unpleasant. I do not know about pets, but armadillos and iguana are both good food.

Possums and armadillos are nasty, stinky, spitting animals. They also carry rabies. You do not want one as a pet.
