I would say the "B" word used toward women. It is a mean and awful word.

Ms. to indicate a woman who does not want to declare her marital status. Though a feminist myself back in them thar days of change and standing up for ourselves and our rights, I was annoyed that feminist activists would chose a fairly meaningless abbreviation that was already a common abbreviation (in the academic, literary and publishing worlds) for "manuscript." I didn't much care for being addressed (or thought of) as a pile of paper. As I still don't, unless I want to be snooty and put a Dr. in front of my name, I have taken to using just my given and surnames without a respectul title. No one seems to mind.

"N*gger"; with "f*ggot" as a close second.

Terribly powerful words, in the sense that society is still working to drain the power from them. I know blacks and gays that call each other these names affectionately, and it is fascinating to watch the drain of the power of the words when they are used this way...

There ARE others, it's a long list, lol...

Lisp. I especially feel bad for people who have one and have to use that word to explain what they have.
