Well that goal wasn't the deciding factor in the match, was it? England scored again after that to end it 2-0 England. One argument against that is that after the first goal, T & T lost their morale but in my opinion if you give it up so easily after one goal after 82 minutes, then perhaps they're not cut out for the World Cup. Perhaps, even, they deserved to lose.

I also got the impression that trinidad and Tobago didn't play that match to win it. They were like intimidated players on the field, quite set on defending as if expecting England to score on them in every minute of the game. I think if they were more focused on scoring they might have had a chance. Let's face it England wasn't thus far, living up to the hype and expectations of the world for that match as well as throughout the World Cup. So I think Trinidad and Tobago had the opportunity any first timer at the World Cup would hope for when they faced England. I thought if they had played to score rather than defend, then maybe they could have scraped a victory over England. That in mind, regardless of foul, they didn't capitalize on the opportunity they were given enough to draw or even win the match.

No because prior to that they had chances few and far between.
