the fans will cheer, he had trouble in his life with his family and other things and they decided it was good for him and the team to trade him. so he can have a new start somewhere else instead of the crazy media in Montreal on his back all the time. he was great for us but he did struggle last year and i understand what needed to be done. we have Huet in net which if he stands strong as he did last year the Habs will be a taught team to beat. we have Aebischer which he is a proving goalie and two great young goalie in Yann Danis and Carey Price does will be are future goalies.

molex77, Patrick Roy DID request a commerce. One recreation as a Hab adversarial to the pink Wings he gave up 7 (i imagine) targets. inspite of the undeniable fact that the Montreal coach refused to tug him, and he ultimately did, Roy went immediately to the locker room, and after the game he quested a commerce. in any case, i imagine for the most area, there'll be boos, and some clapping. EDIT: Oh i assumed molex reported Roy requested a commerce. Oh properly, there is your hockey history lesson for the day.

Well Montreal fans are pretty tough on their ex-goalies, but I think he'll be alright for his new team, and the fans will probably be hard on him to start but they'll come around after a few more appearances.

I don't think the Montreal people give a damn about him. He's a douchebag anyway. I have no clue why the Avs picked him; just seems like a waste of money.

Unless he asked for a trade then there isn't a point in booing him. If it was the organization who had their sights on trading him the entire season then you should perhaps boo the franchise for trading the former Vezina winner. Did you boo Patrick Roy when he went to Colorado?
