Ikea actually has a bed like this--there are other companies as well--might be cheaper to buy and assemble than to try and build

At Bed, Bath and Beyond, they have sets of 4 rubber thingys. They are about 5 inches tall and look like giant rubber Rollos (the candy). You use them to put under each corner of your bed to elevate it. Sometimes you can find them at walmart. You could buy multiple packs of these to increase the height. I don't know how safe it would be though.

Done a little searching for you. This is what I found, however you can go by directions yet still raise the bed higher by using different boards.

Buy a loft bed. You can easily fit a desk under that. A loft bed is basically a bunk bed without the bottom bunk.

make extensions for the legs with pipe such as pvc pipe if it has a sturdy wooden frame and head and foot board lift up the bed and slide the legs of the bed into the pipes
