Maybe they figure most people are out on the weekends, running errands, going shopping, doing stuff and therefore it doesn't matter what they put on TV. But I think TV all week long is bad. Makes me wonder why the heck I pay for cable, when there is only news, politics, sports and other things that may interest some people but not me. They use the summer to test new programs on us that usually aren't that great, and all the good stuff comes later. Then there is football, which is really popular among the guys but for some of us (who aren't football fans) it means there will be even less to watch.

Stations figure people aren't home as much on the weekend so that's why they don't put much effort into offering up some good viewing. Same for summer and winter. All new shows and specials occur in the winter months when people are more apt to be home. Happy Viewing tonight! *smiles*

I think that the "others" have things to do. If you're home watching t.v. all day on the weekends, maybe that's life telling you to do something else. Do not feel bad. T.V. has gone south anyway regardless of what day or time you watch.

because its the days of the week with the lowest ratings (least amount of viewers)
they can't get big advertisers for shows with no viewers so the least amount of effort are put into these days
prime time weekend has the most people watching therefore they will always put more money and more effort into those shows
