Yes, chimpanzees, bonobos, orangutans, dolphins, and maybe pigeons can recognize their reflections.

The trick is to put some funny color on the face of the animal, and then when the animal looks in the mirror, see if the animal examines his own face (while not looking in the mirror). Chimps pass the test, for example. But some other apes do not. One book edging around this is Tattersall, Monkey in the Mirror.

I still haven't passed this test. Apparently, I'm not "conscious," which I suspect is overrated.

At least chimps are. Once they realize what a mirror is, they would use it to see details on their own face and touch like they are grooming. Not sure about the other apes, though, but given that orangutan and gorilla are about as smart as chimps, they could do it as well, I suppose.

Less smart monkey would reach behind the mirror and try to touch the "other" monkey.

Yes. I got few cats in my house. They wont react when they see themself in the mirror because they got used to it.

yes my dog(doberman) goes crazy everytime she see's herself in the mirror...she start trying to bit the mirror,

I think they all are. I don't know if they know it is thier reflection, or another animal.
