Serbia's greatest invention was probably created by it's most famouos inventor, Nikola Tesla, who made many contributions to electricity and magnetism between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. One of his inventions was the radio. He developed means to reliably produce radio frequencies, publicly demonstrated the principles of radio, and transmitted long distance signals. He also created plans for the first lightblub, and later invented fluorescent lighting.
