I am 14 years old and they have a part for a 14 year old girl. Her name is Gladys. I'm reading the book and I haven't found her yet. I also looked up the movie and she wasn't in the cast. Is she possibly a character just added to the script? Or does anyone know who she is? Any help would be great...thanks.

This must be a really bit part, or, perhaps, you are right that Gladys is a script add-on. I don't know of her, and I checked pretty thoroughly.
Nevertheless, hey, good luck in trying out for the part! Hope you get it and have a ball with the ensemble.

i'm reading 1984 right now and unfortunately i havent come across a character named Gladys.

Perhaps she's a member of the Youth League, an organization in the book that's reminiscent of Hitler Youth.

I don't recall such a character. I'd imagine they've added her.
