they are not able to play & have fun like their mates so i asked my self we are young & healthy .... we are able to learn, work & have fun but we don't feel lucky & we aren't grateful .... why?!... why can't we appreciate life?!

The Life is the Life. Live the Life.

Some people confuse lifestlye and Life. Sometimes Life is how you make it, sometimes Life is how you take it. Were these children miseralbe in their own view? There are some children and adults with none of the problems you have described in your post, that would considered their lives as a burden.

True these children cannot have fun like their mates, but their mates cannot have fun and play like them either.

Many of us not grateful are short-sighted with brat mentalities. consider the fairy tale of the fisherman and his wife. He caught the magic fish who would grant him any wish if he was released. The fisherman's wife requested, a larger house, a castle, a queendom, an empire, the papacy, then diefication. The fish granted all but the last. She was not appreciative with any of the upgrades.

Just as one should not take lead for granite, one should not take Life for granted.

A nod is the same as a wink, to a blind horse.

We? .. speak for yourself. My guess is that you have not seen enough misery first hand. Myself i was shown the inside of a paediatric psychiatric hospital ... at age 8 ... and since then i have the right to appreciate life when i flipping well feel in the mood for it!!!
Personally, i avoid misery. Cause it hurts too flippin much. It hurts inside, in my chest, in my stomach and I really hate do-gooders. Oh ... let's go and look at others' misery so we have a reason to appreciate our lives. I sincerely hope you had a reason to be on that ward beyond do-gooding. I know charity makes the world go round but as far as i'm concerned charity begins at home. Have a nice day.

That's a bloody good question, and most of the time I do appreciate my own life...I think that when we see how fortunate and 'blessed' we are compared to those with cancer, starving in 3rd world countries etc. that it is then that we are grateful for what we had taken for granted up until that time....but its so easy to forget and get negative, particularly when we start comparing ourselves against those who are better off - better looking, richer, more successful and more popular..
Life is so precious and can be so beautiful yet at other times it seems so crap...but there you go: That's life.

Dear.. whoever u r

We do appreciate our life sometimes but when we r unhappy sad and not in a good mood we start thinking why r we born? .. r we born 4 the sad life.. but actually we dont know that how lucky we r. We can learn, write, have fun, enjoy and we have parents who r always with us.. just like friends and who think the best 4 us. Isn'it it amazing.. if ur happy .. make others happy n if u r sad share it. One more thing .. we can appreciate life but we dont want to do this.

I do appreciate my life more and more every day. It is hard for people to empathize with other peoples' situations unless they have been there themselves. I thought I knew what it was like when friends of mine had cancer. I thought I understood what they were going through. I HAD NO IDEA! Then my father got cancer...and he died from cancer...it was a horrible time for all of us but it was a true nightmare for my dad.

We need to live every day to the fullest whenever we can. We need to love one another and plan for the future that we believe to be ours. Hate and ignorance are our enemy. We could all use a trip in one anothers' shoes now and then.

Perhaps we sometimes take what we have for granted, and that surely is a great shame. However, I will speak for myself and say I DO appreciate my life. However, the reason I, and nearly everyone, sometimes feels that we aren't lucky is because we only measure our "luck" and happiness against what we are accustomed to, what happiness means to us. We have no capacity to understand any greater suffering than we have known.

Young and healthy? Well you may be. I should appreciate my life more as I had a double organ transplant 8 years ago, so I have a second chance in life. I need to get out there and do more!

We are just worms. Nothing better Molly.

The only creature that doesn't appreciate his true status is Humans. Our carnal man is nothing but a worm. Those who admit that only will have chance to think about the inner personality. There is no value for this life without knowing that inner personality.
