T-Rex was a meat eater.

All you have to do is look at its teeth, which are sharp, made for ripping into meat.

There is controversy as to whether the T-rex was a predator (hunter) or a scavenger (eating the carcasses of dead animals), but no doubt that it was a carnivore (meat eater). Most places I've looked at (including wikipedia) say it's a predator, but I remember seeing a documentary about how they may actually have been scavengers. I suggest you look up the facts online and see what's out there.

T-Rex was a type of dinosaur that was built by nature to consume other animals for food. Its teeth were lethal, buts the muscle power behind its jaw extended into its chest. T-Rex was indeed a meat eater.

They say that T-Rex was a carnivore (meat-eater) that was a predator which turned lazy and stopped hunting active prey, and became a scavenger, scaring off other predators to steal the prize (supper).

The tyrannosaurus Rex was a carnivore an existed thousands of years ago. They could not see their prey if it didn't move the T-Rex slightly visually challenged. They are biggest of all carnivorous dinosaurs. It would not come near you if you were covered with disgusting substances. So that's all about that.

Simple mechanics. Tooth length versus root.
T-Rex teeth had very short roots. If he tried to rip a bite out of a living animal he would need dentures very quickly.
I suspect he ate soft carrion - a walking buzzard if you will.
The modern day monitor lizard eats carrion and finds it with its excellent sense of smell.

Velociraptor - now there is a beastie to fear.
