My bf is Greek and is very old fashioned, so he wishes to name our child after his parents.

His mother's name is Anastasia
and
His father's name is Nicholas

I don't know of a great middle name to go with either of those! Please help??!!
The last name is Greek, and I thought that a Greek middle name could be cool... but maybe over the top?

Any suggestions??

How about something from your heritage? For example if you're Irish, how about Anastasia McKenna, or Anastasia Seline if you're French. For boys you could go with Nicholas David (very traditional bible name) or Nicholas Adain (back to the Irish thing.) Just a thought. Good luck! Hopefully you still have lots of time. =)

I don't know if you should because the meanings of Anastasia (resurrection) and Nicholas (victorious people) are already good. However, if you really must, I suggest you keep it short and for syllabic continuity (so that it can be pronounce by others without difficulty).

My suggestion for a name to go with Anastasia is Nell meaning light. So both names put together means "resurrection light" which is nice.

For Nicholas, the name Zeno (of Zeus). So your son's name would mean "victorious people of Zeus".

Lastly, I suggest before you choose, to scream out the name at least 3 times because that is what you will be doing in the future. Take it from a mother!
