I feel awkward when people swear. It is something that I don't hear very often, and I feel that it is kind of rude. I understand it more when someone hardly ever uses it, and then may say a swear word punctuating their anger/frustration/pain...but just randomly using it, and using it a lot sounds kind of silly to me. Its like randomly throwing colour names into sentences for all the swear words are worth. Wouldn't that sound funny to you? Instead of "I was at an effing awsome party, you b*tches should have been there" you hear "I was at a blueish awsome party, you maroons should have been there!"....why couldn't some one just say they went to a cool party?? To me swearing does not sound cool, it sounds uneducated, as if the person used it because they had no other descriptive word to use.

My God, you don't half hold an inquest on your own questions, don't you? Personally I don't give a stuff if somebody swears at me because (a) sticks and stones etc etc, and (b) I can usually give them plenty back, usually with added interest.
More to the point, I notice that with all the questions you've asked so far you haven't bothered to vote a single answer as a "Best Answer" - you just leave them to die, thus avoiding giving anybody the satisfaction of at least knowing that you read the bloody things. Oh dear, oops - I swore.

I feel embarrassed when done in a public place, you should use logic when addressing a problem in public, you show ignorance when you start swearing in public.
When most people swear its due to frustration and the inability to express ones anger in rational conversation, so they swear. It's mainly the inability to express ones anger into words that are appropriate.

THE ONLY TIME I DO NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH SWEARING IS WHEN PEOPLE DO IT IN PUBLIC..BUT I HAVE THE BIGGEST POTTY MOUTH MYSELF SO I DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT TO JUDGE ANYONE WHO CHOOSES TO EXPRESS THEIR OPINIONS OR FEELINGS BY CHOOSING TO SWEAR!
