This is a ridiculous question. Empowerment is about equality. Why would equality be a bad thing?
this is an ignorant question.

Oh YES!! women should always strive to be empowered. They need to be strong yet loving. Read and do some studies on empowered women. It only spoils relations with family because the can't handle when a women speaks her mind. They dislike a strong woman. If they only knew. They should know that an empowered women belongs to nobody but herself.

Only if someone in the family is insecure about success and Independence. Women should be empowered and if (family members) can't deal with it then the empowered woman should move on without those negative forces in her life because they will only hold her back from her success.

Hi Sunitha,
Almost all women are natural nurturers, almost all women are the pillars in the family...what keeps the family together and grounded. In addition to that almost all women are the spirit of the family. And when the spirit of a woman becomes empowered it reaches to everybody in the family...it reaches the community... the society. An empowered woman can cause a ripple effect of positive possibilities within her family, the community and the society at large for generations to come!

In my personal opinion, Yes!! I think when women feel empowered (empowered and controlling are 2 different things) then we feel a lot happier and can have better relationships with our family. I minored in Women's Studies in college and I have seen numerous accounts of women who have had poor quality of life because they weren't empowered and never got a good education or a job that didn't take advantage of them (low pay for hard labor) or were in abusive homes, or dictative homes where their husbands took advantage of them, and their relationships were not happy or good. Traditional roles arent always bad though, If a woman wants to take a domestic role, like being a housewife, that should also be her choice and she can feel empowered for living that life because she chose it. (I also think it is perfectly acceptable for a man to be a "househusband" if he wants to and his wife wants to work.) I personally would have more respect and love toward a partner that cares for my own happiness and personal aspirations, and I would treat them a lot better because of it.

I thought all women are empowered!!
If they are not, it is due to lack of confidence.

Is that undesirable? The stereotype for feminists is so tight. So, if i'm a feminist... i'm a hypocritical, morbidly obese, mendacity, aggresive, etc. etc. individual? Oh my. i'm additionally for adult males's rights, if that makes you sense to any extent further suited. speaking definitely.

Are you serious? Equality and confidence, spouses supporting each other in realizing their full potential as human beings, these things make for a healthy family. Oppression and subordinance does not.
