I have to cover my ears all the time in the street while walking, because these crazy a*s people have this booming loud music and don't care about us. When people have grown up with loud music can they never change??? Sure, they don't know me, they don't know that i have a terrible ear damage and it hurts really bad with loud music, but still even if they knew, would they even care? And also, don't they ever think that people in their own private homes don't like to have their houses feel as if there was an earthquake going on? Many times when the neighbor gangsta kid puts his loud stereo on, my house and windows vibrate and it feels very annoying to have that for hours.

When you go out in public you are going to have to cope with other people and their habits (loud music, smoking) unless they violate some law.

Check out the local ordinance regarding noise levels to see if your neighbors may be violating any law. The vibrations can cause structural damage over time. Otherwise you might consider moving.

I listened to Heavy Metal in the 80s, was even in a band. Now, I listen to all types of music except rap (which I do not believe is music) but at a lower level. So you, you do change as you get older.

Loud music is very annoying. When I was a teenager I listened to it like that all the time. Now I can't stand it loud. I get on my kids all the time. So yes there is hope but by the time they learn they will be hard of hearing like me.........................

I'm sorry, but people should be ticketed for that crap. It's completely excessive and unnecessary and is primarily only done to a) appear cool, or b) piss people off.

Yes, my son has a hole in his eardrum. You would think that now that everyone is so up in arms about what second-hand smoke can do to you, they should be just as concerned about noise pollution as well--especially when one is trying to sleep!!
