By the way I am black, not being racist or anything, it just really seems like it. We even bought Final Destination Three and you get to choose who you want to die and who you want to live, we thought we were saving the black guy, but he ended up dying faster than he did in the original movie.
Do you see this same thing happening, or is it just me, seeing that the black person always die first?

It's almost always members of social minority groups who die first. It's the black guy or the masculine woman (e.g. Aliens - Rodriguez), the Asian American, homosexuals, etc. There's a tendency in Hollywood mainstream cinema to assume a white middle-class (male, around 25) audience which makes them choose corresponding stories and characters. Their 'tolerance' often is very superficial: 'We show the African American, Asian American, homosexual character as a good person - look, he's even sacrificed his/her life to save the main couple' - respect mission accomplished. Even seemingly stereotype breaking films work with assumed characters of 'race' or sexual orientation, for instance in Independence Day - the black woman is an exotic dancer, while white women are sophisticated, Jews are intelligent, the black hero is courageous but in a way childlike and cracking jokes all the time. And should the president be black he's not saving the world and plays a minor part.
It's something else with independent films - some of them really challenge stereotypes and traditional roles.

It's because he's never the main character. The main character is the only one who doesn't die, and it's never the black guy. That's probably because audiences are supposed to associate themselves with the protagonists in the movie, and most people in America are white.

It might also be because the black guy is usually the brave one, and so he does something stupid. So, I mean, it's kind of a blessing and a curse.

It is a little racist, I guess...but I don't think it's a malicious thing.

People are racist today, and they don't even know it. I am not racist, but even i'll admit that sometimes I find myself poking fun at various races at different times. I think everyone does it. Today, everything seems to be about white people because in the past there was racism with jews (even though its a religion) and black people, and today there still is racism with arabs and hispanics.
I am not racist, and think black people should get more credit. I mean, has anybody noticed that all the main actors and actresses are white? Why don't they give arabs, asians, blacks, hispanics, and native americans a chance to make it big?
All the celebrities who are very much talked about and idolized are white, like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, for example.
All the teen and younger stars are white, too. Like Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, etc.
I'd like to see more color in the gossip magazines, and on screen. People don't admit that they are racist, and they may not be, but for some reason they continue to prefer white people.
I wish it were different! That's why I like America because it is diverse. I like stepping out from my house and seeing alot of people with various backrounds and races. I wouldn't like it if everyone were white.
Hopefully one day people will be more open to other races. I mean of course we've got some wonderful and talented black entertainers, but the white ones are always more talked about. I wish it would change.

Black guys die first becaue Hollywood has pretty much stopped making "Cowboy and Indian" movies. Strange, the white guy still wins.

Bc he's the ballsiest dude in the movie! The first guy to stick his neck out is the one to lose his head. Consider it a compliment!

not always. I watched some weird shark show last night, and the black guy lived! The shark almost bit his leg off, though....

I think you're reading into the movies you watch waaaay too hard. When you are looking for things to happen...you're only going to notice when it does happen. There's no reason behind it, it doesn't mean anything. Just sit back and watch the movie and stop analyzing it to death.

And your avator looks white btw.

You're paranoid. People who think the world's against them, usually find things to prove their theory.
