Guess who said this. Yup, it was Bush.

And no, our children are not learning. In fact, most teachers say no child left behind has been a complete failure.

Way to go mr president, America now looks even more stupid!!

of course they're not learning.. they don't need to learn anything since everything is served to them on a silver platter.

the american education system is way too easy. I came from a different education system in 7th grade. That's when I started in the American system and all through my middle school and half of my high school I didn't study anything at all and was getting straight A's because everything that was i was being taught I already knew from the school in my home country Croatia.

First of all, saying that our children aren't learning is a major put down to all teachers who bust their butts every single day to help their children learn and achieve. Second, No Child Left Behind is probably the worst piece of educational law every created. It takes away from teachers being able to teach so children can learn things and hold on to them for life. However, unless you are a teacher, keep your snooty, incompetant comments to yourself!

He has never been an eloquent speaker....why should he start now?

The fact that our children arent learning goes so much deeper than no child left behind, that is just the tip of the iceberg!

NCLB was a failure because Bush asked so much out of the schools and gave them no money to do it
