I love my first name. It's the same as yours, only without the Beth. How could anybody dislike the name given to the mother of Jesus? For over 100 years, it was the #1 Baby Girl name. Can't beat those odds!!
I've had it even longer than you have, and have never hated it. However, I did hate the middle name my parents put with it... so, when I got married I dropped that-- took it off all legal documents-- and I use my maiden name as a middle name -- WITHOUT the hyphen!!

P.S. Check this site: scroll to the bottom, put your name in that line, with or without the Beth, and see what it says about you.
It's pretty accurate.......

PPS: Here is a link to a site that will play the entire song on the piano for you, if you scroll to the name of it and click on it.

Hi Mary Beth, I'm Terri and I don't like my name and will change it as soon as I get the money to do so. I have had my name for 46 years and it does not speak to who I really am.

No. My name is Tonia and people always pronounce it wrong, spell it wrong, etc.
Its annoying but in some way it fits me. When I was little I thought I wanted to change my name, but I just can't be anybody but Tonia- so I am keeping it!
ps- I just wish I had a good reason for having such a funny name. Like my Great grandma was named Ottilia. I wish I had been after her if my name had to be unsual.
pps- I live in America. I know this name is common in many parts of Europe.

I like my name. It is pretty common though. Never thought about changing it. In high school, I didn't respond unless I recognized the voice saying it. I got tired of turning around to find someone wanted a different Sarah.

My first name is Paris and it has as many curses as favors. But I grew into it by the time I was 7.

Because each name has a special meaning, and for some reason, we were born to carry our birth names, I would not trade mine for the world..... unless I was spiritually guided to do so.
thanks for asking

My mother named me Heather because she thought it was unique!!.....ummmm....not so much. But I've had it for 39 years and never really thought of changing it. I don't hate it, but I don't love it.
