To a certain degree, it should be. One should never move to a foreign land and *expect* things to be the same as they were at "home." Personally, if I were to travel overseas, I'd want to know the language and some customs to avoid offending too many people, and not just because I'm an American.
However, one doesn't need to give up his customs entirely to live here. Live and worship as you wish within the boundaries of the society without compromising yourself or others.

When the Constitution was initially drafted, I'd have said no way, Jose. But now, with all the politicians and judges dipping their fingers into it, misinterpreting it, redefining it and taking away from the original definitions, unfortunately, we're getting closer to communism rather than a democracy in which it was based. Too many people trying to think FOR the masses rather than people thinking for themselves. Sadly, the people are being taken out of politics.
