You ARE the government, (or at least I am!) when it comes to monetary issues. The money comes from taxes paid by working Americans.
You are either kiddding about your position to make a point, or you are a lazy self involved idtiot who is polluting the gene pool.

Because, look at what happened in Russia and the Eastern European countries with Communism. There were always food shortages, long lines, and other hard ships. It is a proven fact that without competition and no motivation for a better live, the quality of live goes down. Also, where will the government get the money to support people like you? The government should never be allowed to help it's people with free health care, housing and such because if they give you everything you end up with no freedom which is not what the United States was founded on. The United States was founded by people who wanted to be allowed to have the most freedom possible to say what they wanted, to live where they wanted, to do what they wanted. If you want a full hand out than go to Cuba.

What alternative universe are you from? In this universe, only the rich get free anything. The truly poor are grudgingly given some things, but only on condition that they look and feel poor and are treated like dirt.
The government is not stingy if you are a big corporation or multimillionaire, or a foreign government that agrees to spend all the money the US gives you on US corporations.
I also don't know why you think we are spending a lot of money on Iraq. The troops are underpaid and under-equipped. The equipment they have is made by corporations that cut corners everwhere they can, without concern by them or by government if it negatively affects the usefulness of the equipment. Our helicopters kill more of our own troops than the enemy. Most of the money "spent" in Iraq goes to US corporations.
If you want to be "taken care of," you'll just have to inherit a lot of money or be hired as a CEO of one of those big corporations. Especially if you leave your position.

Why don't you get off your lazy a** and get a job, go to work like the rest of us, or are you to friggin ignorant to understand. It's goldbrickers like you that expect everything for nothing and then ***** when it doesn't go your way, that really piss me off.
You're probably to young and stupid to remember what JFK said, "ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". Besides what makes you feel so special that you think everything should be handed to you. Grow up and get some kind of life. Dingbat.

Ah your dream is a beautiful one and that's exactly what it is, a dream. I wish it could be so but we know there's no chance of that happening like Michale Jackson being in charge of a day care facility.
