Pregnant, or not pregnant?

On Thursday night, I took 2 home preg tests, both had very faint positive lines. On Friday morning, I went to the Dr. they did a urine test (but I hardly had any when I got there as I had already went to the washroom when I got up first thing in the morning)- but their urine test came back negative. I took a different brand name test on Friday evening, and it was negative. Later Friday night I took an Early Response test, and it again had a faint positive line. I took another one this morning, and again, there was a faint positive line. My period was due 3 days ago, and still has not come. I'm just confused because the Dr's office test came back negative, and so did the other one I took last night. (I am waiting for blood test results...but I'm anxious to know!) Any ideas why 2 test would come back negative?

I would say u are probably prego.. A faint positive is still a positive..To have one false positive is like 1 in a million..and to have a few is impossible..Good luck

You need to wait a couple of more days. It looks like you are a late ovulater and the hormones HCG (That tell you if you are pregnant or not on the tests) is not high enough yet. A blood test will tell you if you are pregnant though because the HCG hormone hits the blood stream way before it hits the urine stream. That's why they say wait several days after you miss your period to take the test and if it come back negative wait and take it again in a couple more just to be safe. I have had 2 children and have taken MANY tests. With my son the first one I took was a Wednesday evening and it came up negative then I took one Friday morning and sure enough it was there 2 lines. So sometimes it just takes time. Good luck to you!!

Tests can come back with a false positive if you got any urine inside the test window. The test window is where the positive/negative lines show up. Instead of urinating right on the stick, pee into a cup. Put the test in the cup, making sure that only the tip of absorption portion of the test touches urine i.e. pour most of the urine out before you put the test in the cup.

I took a urine test at the docs office a week after i knew i was preg and it came back positive of course so if it came back negative your probably not.

Congratulations! You've had 4 positive results, so that tells you there's a baby inside you.
False negatives happen, false positives don't.
Relax. The false negatives occured simply because the hormone levels weren't high enough in the particular moments that you chose to test.

I had the same experience with you. 2 negative results through testing because my urine was very liquid or whatever. I visited a doctor (a genuine OB gyme) because i felt all the positive signs of pregnancy. i was right, i was pregnant. What the doctor did is feel my tummy by injecting her two fingers in my . . . you know what... at least all my questions were answered. I have twin good looking sons.

Your hormone levels may not be high enough yet to accurately detect pregnancy. In a worst case scenario you may have an ectopic pregnancy which would cause this. Ask your doctor for an ultrasound because an ectopic pregnancy can be dangerous. Wait another few days, take another test and then go see your doctor

Relax. You are freaking yourself out! After all the urine tests you've done with diff respsonses you will only know the truth by blood test. Take a deep breath- it's probably just nerves by now. It happens.

Cause your hormones werent built up enough to show cause your not very far along. Since you went to the bathroom before you did at the doctor's. you should of waited to pee before you went to the doctors. if you show another line (even if it's faint a line's a line) then your pregnant. Congratulations!

Ask your doctor to do a blood test or if you can wait one week and try another home test.
