My favorite book is called,"Where The Heart Is." It is a true story and about real life. I don't read alot and when I picked this book up because I was bored at my mom's one day I couldn't put it down. It was so good that I read the book and then rented the movie.

Dear Chilling,
Yes, I have read many good books recently. Like you, I love to read. But what I want most to say is thank you for sharing such a thoughtful question. I know that you must be a good person (most readers are) and I imagine that you are a beautiful person as well. Please know that someone noticed you today and was grateful to have come near. Peace, your sister, Isis

well, it really depends on wht genre you prefer. I am reading several books right now including, The Language of God by Francis S. Collins that looks at the question of whether or not there is a god from a scientist's point of view, and Katherine by Anya Seton- a medieval love story based on the lives of real people :^ )

A great book that'll keep you reading for a while is Umberto Eco's Name of the Rose . Just think of Sherlock Holmes in a medieval monastery. Great stuff and even better than the movie, which was creditable in itself.

I haven't read anything *recently,* but if you want good stuff, try the following:
J.R.R. Tolkien - "The Hobbit," "Lord of the Rings"
Alan Dean Foster - the "Spellsinger" series
Isaac Asimov - the "Robots," "Empire," and "Foundation" series
Arthur C. Clarke - the "Odyssey" and "Rama" series
Steven Barnes - "Streetlethal"
Neil Peart (drummer for 'Rush') - "The Masked Rider," "Ghost Rider," and "Traveling Music"

The Birth of Venus. It is so beautiful.
Also, if you haven't read it and are looking for a killer love story, try Time Traveler's Wife. Amazing. (Both books have been out for a little while).
