There is a great comb available that beats all other hands down, wide tooth, narrow, etc...This comb has 3 rows of teeth, with the middle row staggered off-line from the other two. And it comes with a pointed pick handle. This is guaranteed to work well on all types of hair. I use it on my curls (when they're still damp of course) and it works much better than an afro pick. My youngest daughter has super fine straight hair, and she's always trying to steal my comb from me.

My hair is too thick and poofy for a wide tooth comb. I use a brush

Well I brush my hair with a brush. Do my part with the other comb/pick. And then I take this other kind of brush and curl the tips of my hair!

my hair is so long that i have to start out with a hair pick then switch to a comb that has three rows of teeth. brushes create static electricity and aren't long enough to brush the whole mess anyway.

dont use nethin....ma hairs a whole lotta mess all times of the day!!!......find it too borin to comb or brush
