Different people have different pH levels, so their bodily fluids have different pH levels as well. If you allowed him to ejaculate inside of you, this conflict in pH could be causing the odor, and it should resolve itself, just wash like you normally would and DO not douche, no matter how "helpful" some of the people on here say it is. Douching actually pushes bacteria further up into your vagina where it will not be as easily flushed and the likelihood of developing a nasty infection increases.

If you did not allow him to ejaculate inside of you (or if you two were using a condom) you could simply have a yeast infection, which would also be characterized by (besides the smell) thicker discharge that is not clear or white (i.e. yellow, gray, green), and an itching or painful sensation. If this is the case, you should see a doctor so he can determine what sort of yeast infection you have to determine treatment for you.

Did you use protection? Could be from his semen and will clear up in a day or so. When my bf got out of jail(10 years) his semen had a fishy odor to it. But after a few times of having sex, it went away.
It could also be BV(Bacterial Vaginosis) Do you have alot of discharge, itching, irritation? If it doesn't go away in a few days I'd go see a doctor. In the meantime. Keep it clean and dry and sprinkle some odor-absorbing powder(cornstarch) in your panties(talcom-free)

It's not uncommon the next morning to have a odor after sex,
if the male "came" inside of you.
Although a lot of people here say douching is not good.
A vinegar/water douch one in a while I think is actually good. The acidic nature doesn't kill all the good bacteria but it does let you wash out the unpleasant things....
