Some bacteria get into your urinary tract and you feel the urge to pee and it hurt/bleeds when you pee.... It sucks! DRINK lots of water and cranberry juice and go to the doctor first thing Monday morning... he will give you pills. But it looks like you will suffer thru the weekend. So sorry!

The most likely cause of a urinary tract infection is a bacteria called e coli, that has moved from the anus to the urethra and has found a fertile home.
If you are also having symptoms of itchiness, urgency to pee, and/or pain on peeing drink water - up to 2 liters a day (64 ounces).
You do need to see a doctor - especially if this is your first one, to make sure that is what it is.
The doctor will prescribe an antibiotic, and may prescribe something that turns your urine a bright orange/yellow for a while, to relieve the immediate symptoms. If he does not, ask if the over the counter UTI pills are ok.
UTI is a common occurance in women, especially those who are sedentary (sit alot). On the antibiotics, it takes about 10 days, and another urine test to get rid of it.

A urinary tract infection is NOT caused by yeast. It is caused by bacteria that gets in the bladder by various means. The only way to get rid of it is to go to your doctor and have him do a Urine Culture. When the results are back, he will prescribe the correct antibiotic for you. There are a couple of OTC medicines that you can take called AZO or Uristat that will give you some relief of your symptoms in the interim, but it can't be taken for more than 2-3 days. Go to your doctor ASAP!!!

When you have a UTI. You always FEEL like you have to go. But you don't. NOw, if it's been a while since you've gone try sitting on the toilet and running some warm water over your vagina. Maybe that'll help. Also, drink plenty of fluids.

There are several causes, the most common being yeast. You'll be able to pee once you've visited a gynecologist and have the matter resolved.
