Tell me something about the 60's and 70's that you will never forget or 'what started it all'. Slang words are welcome too.
"peace out"

34. Right on man! I remember horrendous bellbottom pants and Holly Hobby patchwork shirts. I remember my mom's pet rock. I remember riding in the back of my parents estate wagon without wearing a seat belt. I remember riding my bike with the big yellow and black banana seat and not wearing a helmet. I remember our harvest gold fridge, I remember Jimmy Carter, I remember waiting in line for gas.
Yup, I had a Dorothy Hamill hair cut. And we got our first VCR with a remote control that had a really long cord attached. Can you imagine!?!
Thank for the trip down memory lane. Have a groovy day!

As a thirty-something child of the 70's and 80's, I will always say things like "like" and "totally" and "awesome".

I will never forget wearing legwarmers, neon mini-skirts, and acid-wash jeans with peg legs and zippers at the ankles... and I won't wear them again, I don't care if they're "back".

I will never forget teasing my permed hair, the gallons of hairspary used to get my bangs to stand up the right way, wearing Maybelline blue eyeshadow and blue mascara (that was super-cool).

I will never forget seeing all three "Star Wars" movies in the theater the FIRST time they were released, playing "Pitfall" and "Pong" with a joystick on our "awesome" Atari game system, and getting up to change the channels on the TV.

I will never forget answering the phone without knowing who was calling, getting a busy signal until a "new" thing called Call Waiting came out, and using Three-Way Calling to bust my best friend's boyfriend who was cheating on her.

I could, like, totally do this all day.

I'm 30 now (31 in two months). So by the end of the 70's I was only 4 yrs old. Thus, I don't remember too much. Sorry!

I'm only 31 so by 1980 I was only 5 years old. But one thing I remember about the early 80' s is how much I loved my pink fluorescent shoes.

1976 and celebrating the bicentenial at a park with my family. I was very young, but I remember seeing how proud everyone was of that milestone achievement of our country.
