I'm not talking about just being cool and smart at the same time. I'm talking about the extremes of each spectrum.
There are tons of college geeks who think they're cool, but they're really not all that cool, so they definately aren't "ultimate cool."
There are different styles of ultimate coolness, but I think that probably in the US, at this time, the most recognizable "ultimate cool" is exhibited by certain rappers. There are many corny rappers, even though to the untrained, college, white-person eye, this often goes undetected or unrecognized.
So, for this purpose, let's take the hard, gangsta, thug image as being the ultimate, most recognized form of coolness. And let's remember, not just some dude who dresses up to look like this, but one who really IS this.
Now let's get to the smart part. I'm not talking about just-being-in-college type smart. I'm talking about the far end of the spectrum of smartness. People who study chemistry, physics, biology etc.

And they must excel in those subjects, not just be in such a class and barely pass it.
So, is it humanly possible for a person to be at both extreme ends of the spectrum and be truely a cool and smart person?
For example, someone who is a successful college chemistry professor, but who has 6 baby mamas and used to sell drugs when he was younger in order to survive.
I, personally, have never seen anyone like that.
